AE2 Mechanics: Import Bus

The Import Bus pulls items and fluids from the inventory it touches and pushes them into ME network storage. With addons, it can handle additional material types.

For lag reduction, if it has not imported recently, the bus enters a “sleep mode” and operates slowly. Once it successfully imports something, it wakes up and accelerates to full speed (up to 4 operations per second).

Import Buses are considered cable subparts.

By default, the Import Bus will pull in anything it can access. Filters change this behavior:

• Items placed in filter slots act as a whitelist.
• Fluids can be filtered by right-clicking the bus with a fluid container (bucket, tank, etc.).
• JEI/REI integration allows dragging items or fluids into the filter slots without physically having them.

The Import Bus supports the following upgrades:

• Capacity Card — increases filter slots.
• Acceleration Card — increases amount moved per operation.
• Fuzzy Card — enables filtering by damage level and/or ignoring item NBT.
• Inverter Card — flips filter from whitelist to blacklist.
• Redstone Card — adds redstone control (active on high, low, or pulse).
