The Barracks Tower employs and houses one Guard per level built (unlike a Guard Tower, which only holds one Guard). Guards live in the tower instead of citizen housing, freeing up beds.

Note: Placing/upgrading near your colony border expands the border.

• Hire Trainee option (relevant when “Assign Colonists to Jobs” is automatic)
• Patrol Mode: Automatic or Manual (requires Guard Scepter)
• Follow Mode: Loose or Tight grouping
