Ad Astra is a space exploration mod that lets players build rockets, travel to other planets, and survive in hostile alien environments. On Shadows of Aethro, it expands gameplay beyond the Overworld with tech progression, planetary bases, and unique resources.

Each planet has unique conditions, resources, and building challenges:

• 🌑 Moon – Low gravity, meteoric iron, basic base-building
• 🔴 Mars – Redstone, ice caves, Martian soil
• 🟡 Venus – Extreme heat, acid rain, sulfur gas
• 🟠 Mercury – High radiation, solar ore
• 🛰️ Space Stations – Build orbiting bases with solar power

More planets and moons may be added via optional mod extensions or future updates.

• You must wear a full space suit with oxygen gear and tanks
• Use Oxygen Loaders and Distributors to make breathable areas
• Some planets require thermal padding or gas protection
• Solar panels work better the closer you are to the sun

If you launch unprepared, you will suffocate or burn to death almost immediately.

• Each planet offers exclusive ores for advanced machines
• Automate fuel production with oil extractors and refineries
• Build solar farms or nuclear generators for clean energy
• Create fully self-sufficient off-world colonies

• Bring building materials, food, and extra oxygen tanks before launching
• Test rocket placement on flat ground — pad space matters
• You can return to Earth using the same rocket
• Keep an eye on fuel level, or you’ll be stranded
